Frequently Asked Questions
What is a megagame?
What it says on the tin - big games (like, really big). A megagame blends aspects of role playing, strategy, and board game style mechanics, running usually over the course of a day, and can be attended by anywhere between 30 - 200 players.
Who can play a megagame?
Anyone! Most of our games are appropriate for people under 18, and we encourage anyone who wants to get involved to reach out to us.
When is your next game?
It's a mystery, even to us.
(We announce our games across our Discord, Instagram and Facebook, and via email).
I missed out on a game, will you run the same one again?
We do our best to accomodate the maximum number of players at our games, and if there's enough interest, we'll run the same game multiple times in succession.
Do I have to have a group of friends to play a megagame?
Not at all, some of our games are geared towards teams, but we always do our best to accomodate everyone who signs up.
What information can I expect about the game?
When you sign up to a game, you'll be emailed a copy of the rules, and any other resources you need, roughly 2 weeks before the game runs.
I don't see my accessibility needs catered for, but I still want to play, what should I do?
Let us know. We're passionate about bringing megagames to as wider audience as possible, and we're always willing to work on solutions.
How can I get involved in helping run games?
Talking to us at a game is usually best way of making us aware of your interest.
I want to design a game, can you help?
Yes we can! Check out our Resources page for more information for prospective designers.
I wrote a megagame, will you run it?
Probably yes! We love new megagames, please get in touch and we can discuss our process.
